Ms. Barr's Mini-Biography
Hello! My name is Erin Barr and I have been teaching at Big Walnut Middle School for sixteen years. As an Intervention Specialist, I focus on Language Arts, co-teaching 3 classes with the 8th grade LA teachers and 1 class with the 7th grade LA teachers. I also have a Specialized Learning Center for students with more intensive reading and writing needs.
I am originally from Springboro, Ohio and attended Springboro schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. I went to The Ohio State University, majoring in Special Education and minoring in Spanish. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education from Ohio State.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports (tennis and hockey are my favorites), reading, watching documentaries, and spending time with my family and friends. I like to read and watch movies about mountain climbing and surfing. I also love to travel and plan vacations.
